A little more than a year ago, we received confirmation from Crytek, the game’s developer, that they were working on a “truly next-gen shooter” in the shape of Crysis 4, which would be a new installment in the Crysis series. Since then, we have not received very much information regarding the development of the game; nevertheless, a new hiring video that was produced by the team has revealed at least one thing to us: the game will include a campaign mode.
“A CRYSIS is coming. We need your help.”
The little video that can be found up above is, in essence, a request to the video game developers of the globe to assist Crytek in bringing Crysis 4 to life, and it appears that the company will place a significant emphasis on the single-player mode of the game. The team has written, “Come help us build the next campaign” (come help us build it).
Crytek is still looking for a lead producer, a lead artificial intelligence programmer, and a lead environment artist to work on Crysis 4, and we do not anticipate that this one will premiere any time soon – the developer warned us of this possibility during last year’s announcement post.
At this time, it has been ten years since the release of Crysis 3, and we are content to wait a few more years to give Crytek the opportunity to construct the new game according to its vision. We can’t express how relieved we are that the game’s story mode appears to be one of the team’s primary focuses.
