PlayStation Showcase is bigger and more important than State of Play. State of Play live streams have been the only Showcase since 2021.
However, a Twitter post predicts that the next PlayStation Showcase, likely this year, will wow audiences. The signs suggest it will happen. Let’s review our data.
PlayStation Showcase This Year Will Outdo “E3” with Announcements
Before assessing anything, June has two good events:
- Summer Game Fest – June 8
- Xbox and Bethesda showcase – June 11
- Starfield Direct – June 11
- Ubisoft Forward – June 12
Industry insider Jeff Grubb said the Showcase will take place before the Summer Game Fest on June 8. A month passes. Sony has less time to prepare and announce the presentation.
A month ago, Sony revealed Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and more during the State of Play. These games were negatively received. Rumors suggest the best is yet to come.
Pyo tweeted that Sony is planning their biggest PlayStation Showcase yet. To sideline E3. Fans didn’t buy this allegation without a source. See the thread above.
Sony has a Horizon Third Game, Spiderman 2, and a possible Wolverine game. Even though two of these three titles won’t be released for a long, a PlayStation Showcase would generate hype.
Honestly, this news is suspect. In the next weeks, we shall learn if a showcase will occur. You think? PlayStation Showcase? Comment below!
